Optional Course CD/DVDs for Online Courses

Data collected shows that only 10% of Waterloo students taking online courses find the CDs mailed out containing copies of the lectures "essential." Over 50% do not use them at all. Therefore, beginning in the 2010 fall term, we will no longer automatically distribute non-essential/non-required course CDs/DVDs.

You will still be able to order course CD/DVDs for a nominal shipping/handling fee. As an eco-friendly alternative, you will also be able to download the materials at no cost from LEARN.

All essential/required course materials, including CDs/DVDs and print, will still be automatically distributed via the Centre for Extended Learning.

Academic Integrity

In order to maintain a culture of academic integrity, members of the uWaterloo community are expected to promote honesty, trust, fairness, respect and responsibility.

The Office of Academic Integrity website explains the importance of academic integrity and contains detailed information on Waterloo policies for students, staff and faculty. It also identifies resources available on campus.
